Matt Jackson is a freelance sculptor and model maker for film, theatre, and the fine arts. With an educational background in 'Creature Effects for Cinema', he specializes in the fabrication of puppets and masks. His works are used by the 'bunraku' master Kanroku in Osaka, Japan; the Ulrike Quade Company in Amsterdam; Jean Louis Heckel/La-Nef in Paris, and many more. Personal research is in use of organic, non-toxic materials and the combination of working from design with the surprise of what you find. Matt has also been invited as a guest teacher at L'Institut International de la Marionnette; Central School of Speech and Drama; and University of the Arts London.
